Main Line Supply ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Customer Portal ("Portal") at portal.mainlinesupply.com. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Portal.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you register for or use the Portal, including:
- Account information — first and last name, email address, job title, and login credentials
- Company information — company name, billing and shipping addresses, and telephone numbers
- Phone numbers — mobile or business line numbers provided during registration or account updates, used for customer care communications
- Transaction data — order history, invoice details, payment information, and material test report (MTR) requests
- Uploaded documents — tax exemption certificates, resale certificates, and other supporting documentation you choose to submit
- Communications — messages, requests, and inquiries you send through the Portal or to our staff
We also collect certain information automatically when you use the Portal, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and session activity. This information is collected via server logs and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your Portal account
- Process orders, payments, and account transactions
- Provide order status updates, shipping notifications, and document delivery
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Send transactional communications, including account confirmations and invoice notifications
- Contact you via SMS (text message) for customer care purposes, only if you have opted in to receive text messages from us (see Section 5 below); contact you by phone for account inquiries
- Improve and maintain the Portal and our services
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and technical issues
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, shipping carriers, and communication platforms. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Business operations — We may share information within our organization to fulfill orders, provide customer service, and operate the Portal.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose your information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers — In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same privacy protections described in this policy.
We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Portal uses session cookies to authenticate your login and maintain your session while you are using the Portal. These cookies are essential for the Portal to function and are deleted when you close your browser or log out. We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking cookies, or behavioral analytics cookies.
5. Mobile and SMS Messaging
Main Line Supply Co. operates a customer-care text messaging (SMS) program for its business customers. Messages are conversational and are sent one-to-one by a Main Line Supply account representative or customer service employee from our office phone system. We do not send automated marketing or promotional text messages. Messages may include quote (RFQ) and order status, will-call pickup and delivery notifications, requests for information needed to complete an order (for example a purchase order number or approval), document requests such as material test reports, account and balance inquiries, and replies to questions you text to us.
How you opt in. We only send text messages to a mobile number whose owner has consented through one of these methods:
- Online registration — checking the optional, unchecked-by-default SMS consent box on our Customer Portal registration form at portal.mainlinesupply.com/portal/register.php.
- Verbal or written consent to your representative — giving your mobile number to a Main Line Supply employee by phone, in person, or in writing (for example on a credit application or account form) and agreeing to receive text messages after the employee provides the disclosure below. The employee records your consent on your customer account.
- Texting us first — sending a text message to one of our published business numbers, or texting START or YES to a Main Line Supply number. Replying to your message constitutes our response to your inquiry.
Providing a phone number alone does not enroll you in text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of doing business with Main Line Supply.
Program disclosure: By opting in you agree to receive customer-care text messages from
Main Line Supply Co. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data
rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or
HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent will not be shared with,
sold to, or provided to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We share mobile numbers only with the communications service providers that deliver messages
on our behalf, solely to send and receive those messages.
What we collect and how we use it. For the SMS program we collect your mobile number, your consent (including how and when it was given), and the content and timestamps of messages exchanged with our staff. We use this information only to deliver the customer-care messages described above, to honor opt-out requests, and to keep records required by law.
Opting out and getting help. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again (for example by texting START). Reply HELP, email help@mainlinesupply.com, or call (937) 254-6910 for assistance. Program terms: SMS Terms and Conditions.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), session authentication, and access controls that restrict Portal data to authorized staff.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at help@mainlinesupply.com.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Portal services. We also retain information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.
8. Children's Privacy
The Portal is intended for use by business professionals and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You may review and update your account information by logging into the Portal or contacting us directly. You may also request that we delete your account and associated personal information, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records. To exercise these rights, please contact us at help@mainlinesupply.com.
